On November 29, the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between the party representatives and Head of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Election Assessment Mission, Cayetana de Zulueta Owtram, as well as political scientist Martina Barker-Ciganikova.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan U. Inoyatov noted that all pre-election events are held in the spirit of openness and publicity, equal conditions and opportunities are created for all parties in accordance with the legislation. He emphasized that the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan is resolutely aimed to occupy the largest number of seats in this election.

Experts received detailed information about the activities, goals and objectives of the party, the activity of its central election office.

Views were exchanged regarding amendments and addenda introduced to the electoral legislation, the party’s strategy during the election campaign, the features of its Pre-election program, the effective organization of events of the election campaign of the candidates nominated from the party for deputies.
