The authorized representative of the People’s Democratic Party received signature sheets

The Central Election Commission registered authorized representatives of political parties, and mandates were transferred to them electronically through the “E-saylov” information system.

In accordance with the law, to participate in the elections, a political party must be registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan four months before the announcement of the start of the election campaign.

At the same time, it can nominate its candidates for deputies by collecting the signatures of at least forty thousand voters who support its participation in the elections.

Based on this, the Central Election Commission transferred signature sheet forms of the specified sample to the authorized representative of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan for collecting signatures of voters supporting the participation of the political party in the elections.

As is known, a political party can collect no more than eight percent of the signatures of forty thousand voters from one administrative-territorial structure (the Republic of Karakalpakstan, region, city of Tashkent).

It is planned to collect signatures in more than 10,000 primary organizations of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, at the place of work, service, study, residence, at election events, and in other places where campaigning and signature collection are not prohibited by law.
